Job summary

KBR is seeking highly motivated students to join our Defense & Intel – Systems Engineering Internship Program for Summer 2027. Interns will work on MBSE-driven defense projects, mentored by experienced engineers, and gain hands-on experience across systems engineering, MBSE education, and SysML modeling.

Requirements include full-time undergraduate or graduate student in engineering (ABET preferred), the ability to work in teams and independently, and the possibility to obtain a U.S.

Qualifications

• Full-time rising junior, senior, or graduate student pursuing an engineering degree (ABET preferred).
• Major in Systems and Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or related technical field.
• Must work well in both a team environment and independently.
• Must have excellent computer skills.
• Must have demonstrated a high level of academic achievement.

Responsibilities

• Explore Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches for defense applications.
• Develop curriculum to train engineers in systems theory and MBSE.
• Gain a wide breadth of experience in SysML modeling to support MBSE education.
