Job summary

KBR is seeking highly motivated and talented students to join our Defense & Intel – Systems Engineering Internship Program for Summer 2027. Interns will work with experienced professionals on real-world assignments, gaining exposure to MBSE and SysML modeling in defense applications.

You'll contribute to meaningful projects, learn from mentors, and develop practical skills across engineering, software, cyber, data analytics, science, or mission operations in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Full-time student pursuing an engineering degree (ABET preferred).
• Major in Systems/Industrial Eng, Computer Eng, Mechanical or Aerospace Eng, or related field.
• Ability to work in team and independently.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Proven academic achievement.
• Self-motivated; ownership of projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Explore MBSE approaches for defense applications.
• Develop curriculum to train engineers in systems theory and MBSE.
• Gain breadth of experience in SysML modeling to support MBSE education.
