KBR’s Mission Technology Solutions invites students to join the Defense & Intel – Systems Engineering Internship for Summer 2027. You will collaborate with seasoned professionals on real-world assignments, focusing on MBSE and SysML modeling to support defense applications and MBSE education.

Interns gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to projects that advance national security and advanced technology initiatives, in a collaborative team environment with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Full-time rising junior, senior, or graduate student pursuing an engineering degree (ABET-accredited preferred).
• Majors: Systems and Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, or related technical field.
• Must work well in both a team environment and independently.
• Must have excellent computer skills.
• Must have demonstrated a high level of academic achievement.
• Self-motivated; takes ownership of projects and issues, and following issues through to resolution.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Explore MBSE approaches for defense applications.
• Develop curriculum to train engineers in systems theory and MBSE.
• Gain a wide breadth of experience in SysML modeling to support MBSE education.
