KBR is inviting highly motivated students to join the Defense & Intel Software Engineering Internship for Summer 2027 in the United States. Interns gain hands-on experience on real-world projects supporting national security and advanced technologies, working alongside seasoned engineers.

Selected interns will contribute to radar/sensor data analyses, algorithm development, DSP tasks, and GUI enhancements, with mentorship and professional development throughout the 12-week program.

Formación

• Strong proficiency in Python and/or MATLAB for data analysis, modeling, and basic algorithm development.
• Solid understanding of vector math, including dot products, cross products, coordinate transformations, and geometric projections.
• Strong problem-solving ability with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a technical team environment.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail.

Responsabilidades

• Support analysis of radar, sensor, or similar system data, including preprocessing, noise removal, and feature extraction.
• Assist with simulation, modeling, or data-driven studies related to aerospace or mechanical engineering concepts.
• Develop, test, and validate algorithms that use vector math and coordinate transformations.
• Perform basic digital signal processing tasks such as filtering and Fourier analysis using MATLAB or Python.
• Contribute to GUI design for internal tools using MATLAB App Designer or Python frameworks.
• Document code, results, and methodology clearly to support team collaboration.
• Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot software or algorithm issues and iterate solutions.
• Present progress in team meetings and provide written summaries of findings.
• Work independently and as part of a small team, taking ownership of tasks to completion.
