KBR is seeking highly motivated students for the Defense & Intel Software Engineering Internship for Summer 2027. Interns will work with experienced professionals on real-world assignments across software, data analytics, and AI-enabled projects supporting national security initiatives.

Responsibilities include data analysis, algorithm development, GUI prototyping, and collaboration in a small team. 12-week program with a 40-hour workweek and potential security clearance requirements.

Competenze

Pursuing a degree in Software Engineering or related field.
Strong proficiency in Python and/or MATLAB for data analysis and algorithms.
Solid understanding of vector math and coordinate transformations.
Excellent problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Mansioni

Support analysis of radar, sensor, or similar data, including preprocessing and feature extraction.
Assist with simulation and data-driven studies related to aerospace concepts.
Develop, test, and validate algorithms using vector math and coordinate transforms.
Perform basic DSP tasks using MATLAB or Python.
Contribute to GUI design for internal tools using MATLAB App Designer or Python.
Document code, results and methodology clearly for reuse.
Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot software issues and iterate solutions.
Present progress in team meetings and provide written summaries.
