Job summary

Salesforce is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer for the DoD/DoW sector to engage with military program offices and defense contractors, architect cloud solutions, and deliver tailored demos and PoCs. You will prototype agentic workflows, ensure compliance with DoW IL requirements, and contribute to RFI/RFP responses.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Solution or Sales Engineer for CRM, enterprise SaaS, or mission IT with DoW/defense contractor customers preferred.
• Hands-on prototyping of agentic workflows, automation, and data pipelines from scratch.
• Practical AI fluency: LLMs, RAG/grounding, agentic design, and governance for DoW environments.
• Deep discovery and MVP scoping to define use cases, success criteria, and activation plans.
• Familiarity with DoW compliance frameworks.
• Strong communication from developers to C-suite and program offices.

Responsibilities

• Engage directly with DoW customers to understand mission requirements and technical environment.
• Map requirements to Salesforce products: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, MuleSoft, Tableau, and Gov Cloud Plus Defense.
• Build demos and PoCs for DoW use cases in HR, logistics, procurement, and program management.
• Architect Agentforce solutions with grounding, prompt governance, and production readiness considerations.
• Explain DoW security posture including IL2/IL4/IL5 authorizations and data sovereignty to evaluators.
• Support RFI/RFP content with technical demos and architecture docs.
• Collaborate with Account Executives and Capture Managers to drive pipeline.
• Create reusable PoC assets and best-practice guides for scalability.
• Provide Voice of the Customer insights to Product and Marketing.
