Job summary

Phoenix Logistics LLC is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to identify, qualify, captu re, and close new defense business in M&S, C2, and training/engineering markets. You will manage defined segments from first contact through award and transition to delivery, reporting to the Lead, Business Development & Capture.

The role emphasizes closing pursuits with demonstrated government customer credibility, a track record of two pursuits, and strong shaping, proposal, and price-to-win

Qualifications

• Six to twelve (6–12) years of professional experience, including four (4) years in defense business development, capture, or account management.
• Verifiable record of pursuits personally advanced from qualification through award.
• Working knowledge of the modeling and simulation, C2, or training and engineering services market with government buyers.
• Ability to travel approximately 30–40 percent, with focus on Huntsville / Redstone Arsenal, NCR, and training installations.
• United States citizenship and an active SECRET security clearance; Top Secret preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and execute a disciplined customer call plan against assigned accounts and record learnings from each engagement.
• Convert leads into qualified opportunities with identified owners, funding line, and period of performance.
• Serve as capture manager on assigned pursuits, including plan, competitive assessment, teaming, and price-to-win inputs.
• Drive proposal content as the customer-facing author of the win strategy and coordinate reviews for on-time submissions.
• Maintain pipeline and opportunity data in the CRM; contribute to IER reviews and annual operating plan inputs.
