Job summary

Planet is seeking a Business Development Manager to advance solutions for the US Combatant Commands and related DoD entities. You will own the BD lifecycle, from identifying critical needs to shaping requirements, budgets, and procurement processes to satisfy warfighter needs.

Responsibilities include pursuing long-term captures, supporting RFIs and RFPs, and advocating Planet capabilities to mission users.

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering complex business opportunities in defense contexts.
• Proven ability to identify, qualify and pursue new DoD opportunities.
• Strong communication with senior civilian and military leaders.

Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify new business opportunities with US Combatant Commands.
• Lead capture strategies, RFI/White Paper, Unsolicited Proposals, RFP responses.
• Educate stakeholders on Planet capabilities and mission alignment.
• Coordinate with DoD offices, Service Elements and Intelligence Community as needed.
