Hornblower Group’s City Experiences division is seeking a Deckhand to monitor safety on vessels, assist with docking, and provide high levels of guest service. Responsibilities include handling lines, assisting with fueling and shore power, and performing cleaning and maintenance tasks as directed.

The role emphasizes compliance with USCG procedures, safety training, and professional appearance to guests and clients at all times.

Responsibilities

• Monitor passenger and crewmember safety on the vessel and ensure equipment is used correctly.
• Participate in meetings, training, drills, and safety audits as required by USCG and company policy.
• Understand shipboard safety procedures and locations of firefighting and safety equipment.
• Handle and dispose of hazardous materials per Safety Data Sheets (SDSs).
• Report safety-related concerns.
• Mooring lines handling to dock or undock the vessel.
• Safe underway operations including mooring, anchoring, and bridge operations in all weather.
• Sell tickets and concessions; manage ticketing equipment, inventory, and cash.
