Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalence preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• First Aid/CPR certification a plus but not required.
• Strong customer service, organization, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional hospitality to guests and coworkers as prescribed in the RESPECT SERVICE SYSTEM.
• Follow safety procedures to protect passengers and vessel.
• Participate in routine safety drills for incidents such as man overboard, fire, abandon ship.
• Handle lines to moor vessels to pier.
• Stand watch in bows, sterns, or bridge wings to spot obstructions or aids.
• Assist Captain and crew with maintaining vessel equipment and systems.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of all common areas.
• Sweep, mop, and wash decks and exterior areas.
• Load or unload materials; collect trash from vessel.
• Service, clean, and stock restrooms.
• Be prepared to begin work at scheduled time.
• Maintain uniform and grooming per appearance standards.
• Perform security/safety patrols of all decks when underway.
• Communicate with passengers, answer questions, respond to complaints.
• Assist with boarding and disembarking passengers.
• Other duties as assigned.
