Zane State College in Ohio seeks a Dean of Technical Studies to provide strategic academic leadership for engineering technologies, information technologies, business, and related disciplines. Reporting to the Vice President of Academics, the Dean will align divisional operations with the college's mission and advance student success, equity, and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a Technical Studies discipline, Higher Education Administration, or Educational Leadership.
• Current or recent college-level teaching experience; minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible higher education leadership.
• Proven record in budget management, staff supervision, and commitment to inclusive excellence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a multi-year divisional strategic plan aligned with regional workforce needs.
• Serve on the President's Extended Cabinet and lead accreditation and continuous quality improvement efforts.
• Champion a student-centered culture prioritizing access, equity, retention, and completion.
• Oversee instructional quality, curriculum design, and course delivery for rigorous learning experiences.
• Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty and staff; oversee program reviews and academic scheduling.
• Lead academic planning, including environmental scanning for new program development and discontinuation.
• Develop and monitor annual operating budgets; conduct resource forecasting and cost-benefit analyses.
• Pursue revenue-generation opportunities, including grants and workforce development contracts.
• Ensure transparent and accountable fiscal practices aligned with strategic priorities.
• Cultivate strategic relationships with K-12 districts (dual enrollment), industry partners, and four-year institutions.
