Job summary

Savannah Technical College is seeking a Dean of General Studies and Special Projects to lead the General Studies Division. This position reports to the Vice President for Academic Affairs and oversees programs, courses, faculty, and instructional services, including community, high school, dual enrollment, and college-level offerings.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from a regionally or nationally accredited college or university.
• At least three years of full-time paid work experience in the past seven years in business, industry, education or military environments.
• Three years of employment as a full-time instructor.
• Demonstrated project management and leadership skills; strong communications.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, management, and oversight for all General Studies programs and faculty.
• Coordinate articulation agreements and academic partnerships to support transfer and pathways.
• Oversee Curriculum Committee and ensure alignment with accreditation and college goals.
• Lead strategic initiatives for academic innovation, enrollment growth, and student success.
