Role Description

The DDA Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Bowie, MD, responsible for overseeing case managers and direct support staff serving individuals with developmental and disability-related needs. This role includes monitoring service delivery, ensuring compliance with DDA and state regulations, and supporting person-centered planning and implementation. The DDA Supervisor will review documentation, authorize services, and coordinate with families, community partners, and other stakeholders to maintain high-quality, individualized care. Day-to-day responsibilities also involve coaching and mentoring staff, addressing service issues promptly, participating in team meetings, and assisting with scheduling and caseload management. The supervisor will collaborate with leadership on quality improvement, ensure timely reporting, and help maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all clients and employees.

Qualifications

• Experience in developmental disabilities services, case management, or human services supervision, with strong knowledge of DDA regulations and person-centered practices.
• Skills in staff leadership and supervision, including coaching, performance feedback, and team coordination.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities to manage multiple cases, documentation requirements, and deadlines.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients, families, community partners, and regulatory agencies.
• Ability to use electronic health records, case management systems, and standard office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, word processing).
• Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and respectful, culturally sensitive service delivery.
• Relevant education such as an associate or bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, human services, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Experience in community-based services, supported employment, housing support, or Medicaid-funded programs is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site in Bowie, MD, with reliable transportation to visit community locations and client homes as needed.
