Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a DC Area Supervisor to lead an hourly distribution team and influence the broader distribution group to operate efficiently, safely, and productively. You will hire, evaluate, develop, discipline, and terminate hourly associates, with management responsibility for 20 to 30 staff.

Responsibilities include enforcing procedures, coaching for high performance, maintaining inventory accuracy, and planning staffing to align with business plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or GED accepted with relevant supervisory experience.
• Experience leading and developing hourly teams in a fast-paced distribution setting.
• Proven ability to hire, evaluate, coach, discipline and terminate hourly staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead 20–30 hourly associates and supervise daily distribution center operations.
• Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and drive process improvements.
• Coach, train and evaluate associates; manage performance and provide feedback.
• Monitor inventory accuracy, productivity, quality and cost metrics.
• Plan staffing and coordinate shifts to meet business needs.
