Job summary

Burlington Stores is seeking a Distribution Center Area Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations and lead a team of associates in shipping/receiving with safety and efficiency. The role emphasizes data-driven leadership, policy compliance, and cross-functional collaboration.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree or related experience, 3+ years in a high-volume DC, and strong mentoring skills. A bi-lingual option is a plus, with competitive pay and full benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years’ experience leading in a high-volume distribution environment.
• Management/leadership experience in a supply chain distribution center.
• Experience implementing employee engagement, mentoring/coaching and development initiatives.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Able to read and interpret policies and procedures and operate systems within the DC.

Responsibilities

• Analyze productivity, efficiency, and accuracy data to drive team performance.
• Lead and act as an ambassador for Burlington’s Core Values and a positive team environment.
• Coordinate cross-functional and interdepartmental projects as needed.
• Provide feedback, coaching, and development to team members.
• Ensure ongoing training and compliance with policies, procedures, and rules.
• Leverage WMS and reporting tools to drive results and performance excellence.
