Job summary

Genuine Parts Company’s NAPA Distribution Center seeks a General Manager of Operations to lead the facility’s management team in a fast-paced environment, emphasizing safety, leadership, and operational excellence. You will drive budget attainment, develop staff, and champion Lean/Six Sigma initiatives to optimize processes and service levels.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree or equivalent experience.
• 5 years' experience handling inventory/operational tasks.
• 5 years' management experience in a Distribution Center / Fulfillment Center environment.
• Experience with activity-based performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean thinking.

Responsibilities

• Hires, trains, develops, motivates, and supports the distribution center teams.
• Develops and monitors production plans for the DC and ensures optimal staffing.
• Manages safety practices to support a safe work environment.
• Oversees the DC’s P&L and works with managers to meet targets.
• Establishes process improvement initiatives to drive year-over-year gains.
• Leads DC network projects to improve logistics cost and efficiency.
• Collaborates with leaders to standardize processes and share best practices.
• Supports strategy and innovation to drive revenue, performance, and profitability.
• Develops leaders to coach and motivate staff for safety and productivity.
