Job summary

HomeGrown is a daytime eatery in Springdale seeking a Line Cook (Kitchen Team Member). You’ll handle your prep work and cook’s station, following recipes to meet our standards for presentation and quality. You’ll be cross-trained across kitchen roles as part of a high-volume, scratch kitchen team.

We emphasize kindness and teamwork, with a schedule that starts early and ends by 3:30 pm. Thrive Restaurant Group supports our growth in a family atmosphere that values hospitality and community.

Qualifications

• A positive attitude and desire to learn and grow.
• Reading, writing and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to follow recipes exactly as written.
• Ability to work fast, safe, efficient, and accurately for periods of up to 10 hours per day.
• Attention to detail.
• Willingness to help with dishes, prep cook responsibilities, and assist other stations on the line as needed.
• Mobility required during the entire shift.
• Ability to transport cases up to 50 pounds as many as 20 times per day.
• Ability to respond in emergency situations to avoid imminent dangers to self and others.
• Ability to focus on multiple tasks at one time at a fast pace for consecutive hours, daily.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items according to HomeGrown's Recipes, Plate Presentations and specifications (60%*).
• Complete all assigned prep work, following recipes exactly as written (15%*).
• Set up workstation (5%*).
• Practice sanitary and safe food handling at all times (10%*).
• Clean and sanitize the work area before, during and after shift (5%*).
• Complete assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects (5%*).
