Job summary

HomeGrown in Rogers, AR, part of Thrive Restaurant Group, is seeking a Line Cook for our daytime breakfast/brunch concept. You will handle assigned prep work and cook’s station, learning recipes and maintaining high standards for presentation and quality.

As part of a high-volume scratch kitchen, you’ll work with a team focused on kindness and efficiency, with shifts ending by 3:30 pm and opportunities for growth within a family-owned restaurant group.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and desire to learn and grow.
• Able to follow recipes exactly as written.
• Reading, writing and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to work fast, safe, efficient, and accurately for periods of up to 10 hours per day.
• Mobility to transport cases up to 50 pounds as many as 20 times per day.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items according to HomeGrown's recipes, plate presentations and specifications (60%*).
• Complete all assigned prep work, following recipes exactly as written (15%*).
• Set up workstation (5%*).
• Practice sanitary and safe food handling at all times (10%*).
• Clean and sanitize the work area before, during and after shift (5%*).
• Complete assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects (5%*).
