Job summary

Senior Housing Managers Group is seeking a Universal Caregiver / Medication Aide in Coos Bay, OR. The role focuses on direct resident interaction, monitoring health changes, and delivering essential care to maximize resident independence.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, medication setup after training, and maintaining resident records. Training is provided; no prior experience is required. Full-time day shifts with competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CPR certification is required.
• First Aid certification is required.
• Food Handler's Card is required (can be acquired during hiring).
• Pre-Service Universal Caregiver training is required and provided during onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, meals).
• Medication setup and administration after training.
• Update resident records promptly per policy and procedures.
• Report changes in resident health, behavior, or conditions to supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment and assist with housekeeping tasks as needed.
• Prepare and cook meals per posted menus and assist with serving meals.
• Support daily activities, document resident participation, and attend trainings.
• Additional duties as assigned by Executive Director or supervisor.
