Job summary

Senior Housing Managers seeks an Universal Caregiver in Coos Bay, OR to provide direct care to residents in our Assisted Living and Residential Care Communities. This role emphasizes daily living activities, health observation, and timely communication of resident needs to ensure appropriate actions are taken.

The Universal Caregiver will adapt to evolving resident and facility needs, contribute to a supportive team, and help residents achieve independence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months related experience caring for seniors preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.
• CPR, First Aid and Food Handlers cards required (can be obtained during onboarding).
• Pre-Service Universal Caregiver training is required but part of onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, meals) per care plan.
• Medication setup and administration when needed after training.
• Update resident records timely per policy.
• Report changes in residents' health or behavior to supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment; perform housekeeping, laundry, dining area duties, and report safety issues.
• Plan and assist with meals, serving, and helping residents during dining.
• Participate in daily scheduled activities and document participation.
• Attend staff trainings and in-service meetings.
• Additional duties as assigned by leadership.
