Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the Essex Crossing OSC on Day Shift (37.5 Hours). You will scrub on all procedures in the OR under the direction of a licensed nurse and assist physicians in procedural areas.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, NBSTSA Surgical Technologist certification, and BLS. Preferred candidates have 1–2 years in a large OR and NYU Surgical Tech program experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required with BLS certification.
• Graduate of NBSTSA accredited Surgical Technologist program; certification required on hire.
• Active BLS certification and Surgical Technologist credential.

Responsibilities

• Scrub on all surgical procedures in the Operating Room under RN guidance.
• Assist physician in procedural areas and maintain instrument care.
• Prepare supplies based on procedure preference cards and coordinate with the RN Circulator.
• Comply with safety standards, document counts, and handle specimens per policy.
• Participate in quality and safety initiatives and ongoing education.
