Volunteers of America Northern California & Northern Nevada, Inc. is hiring for full-time Support Staff at the Nevada Cares Campus in Reno. Shift is 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, with a focus on compassionate service, safety, and program integrity for residents experiencing homelessness.

The role involves daily operations, property management, mail duties, and collaboration with county partners. CPR/First Aid certification is required within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to communicate and comprehend instructions.
• Must have CPR and First Aid training within 90 days of employment.
• Demonstrates teamwork, organizational, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Explain program rules and ensure residents observe them.
• Coordinate daily routines including meals, bedding, showers, and laundry.
• Provide awake shift coverage and conduct hourly safety checks.
• De-escalate crises and provide emergency assistance as needed.
• Maintain daily reports and program records.
• Assist with participant property management and mail services.
• Support training and development of new staff.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness and inventory of facilities.
