Job summary

VOA Northern California & Northern Nevada seeks a full-time Support Staff member for the Nevada Cares Campus in Reno. You will work day shift 7:00 am - 3:00 pm, delivering compassionate services to residents experiencing homelessness and coordinating daily program activities.

You will perform safety checks, assist with property management, and maintain records while adhering to policy and safeguarding residents.

Qualifications

• Experience communicating with diverse participants and staff.
• Ability to de-escalate crisis situations and assist residents and staff.
• Proficient in documenting and reporting program activities.

Responsibilities

• Explain program rules and facilitate participant observance.
• Coordinate meal prep, bed assignments, showers and daily routines.
• Provide awake shift coverage and conduct hourly safety checks.
• De-escalate crises and provide emergency assistance as needed.
• Maintain daily reports and logs.
• Perform housekeeping and other tasks to meet health standards.
• Communicate with on-site staff and partners as required.
