Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks an RN Shift Lead I for part-time day shift at St James Hospital in Butte, MT. You will provide leadership and clinical expertise, coordinating unit resources to align staffing with census and acuity while supporting staff and modeling professionalism.

Responsibilities include supervising direct patient care, responding to emergencies, collaborating with staffing, communicating census and admissions, and promoting hospital mission and values.

Qualifications

• BSN degree from an accredited program.
• Montana RN license required.
• BLS certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and/or provide direct patient care; assist staff with issues related to patient/family complaints, physician concerns, risk management, staff safety, and hospital safety.
• Respond to patient emergencies; act as charge or lead for disasters.
• Collaborate with staffing office to adjust staff numbers for census changes during the shift.
• Communicate with the oncoming Charge Nurse about census, admissions, discharges, problems, and information for assignments.
• Support unit management in productivity, staffing, timekeeping, and coordinating unit activities.
• Participate in hospital committees as unit representative as needed.
• Promote Intermountain Health's mission, vision, and values; adhere to service behavior standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• May float to other departments within scope of competency.
• May be on-call during regularly scheduled shifts.
