Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an RN Shift Lead I for a part-time, day shift position. This role provides leadership and clinical expertise on the shift, coordinating resources to align staffing with census and acuity while supporting staff and modeling professionalism.

The position requires a BSN within 4 years (or 15 years acute care), Montana RN license, and BLS. Duties include directing patient care, responding to emergencies, and participating in committees as needed.

Qualifications

• BSN degree from an accredited program required within 4 years unless 15 years of acute care service.
• Current State of Montana Registered Nurse License.
• BLS Certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and/or provides direct patient care, supporting staff and addressing patient/family concerns.
• Respond to patient emergencies and act as charge/lead for disasters.
• Collaborates with staffing office to adjust staff for census changes during shift.
• Communicates with the oncoming Charge Nurse about census, staffing, admissions, discharges, and issues.
• Supports unit management in productivity, staffing, and timekeeping.
• Participates in hospital committees as unit representative when needed.
• Promotes mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Health in daily practice.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• May float to other departments within competency as needed.
• May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.
