Job summary

Intermountain Health in Butte, MT is seeking an RN Shift Lead I for day shift part-time. The role provides leadership and clinical expertise, coordinating unit resources to align staffing with census and acuity.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, responding to emergencies as charge, collaborating with staffing, and participating in committees. BSN is required within 4 years, Montana RN license and BLS on hire.

Qualifications

• BSN degree required within 4 years unless 15 years of acute care service.
• Current State of Montana Registered Nurse License
• BLS Certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and/or provides direct patient care; assists and supports staff in responding to patient/family complaints, physician concerns, risk management, and safety.
• Responds to patient emergencies as needed; acts as charge or lead for disasters.
• Collaborates with staffing office and adjusts staffing for census changes during the shift.
• Communicates with the oncoming Charge Nurse about census, staffing, admissions, discharges, and important patient information.
• Supports unit management in productivity, staffing, and timekeeping; coordinates unit activities.
• Participates in hospital committees as needed and promotes Intermountain Health values.
• May float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications; may be placed on-call during a shift.
