Job summary

Intermountain Health in Montana is seeking a part-time RN Shift Lead I to provide clinical leadership on the day shift and coordinate unit staffing to meet census and acuity needs. You will serve as a role model for professionalism and quality patient care, working with the department manager to balance clinical and financial resource use.

The role requires a BSN, Montana RN license, and BLS certification, with opportunities to float within competency areas and participate in hospital

Qualifications

BSN degree from an accredited program required within 4 years unless 15 years of acute care service.
Current State of Montana Registered Nurse License.
BLS Certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

Supervises and/or provides direct patient care and supports staff in problem-solving related to patient/family concerns, physician issues, risk management, safety, and hospital operations.
Responds to patient emergencies and acts as charge or lead person for disasters.
Collaborates with staffing to adjust numbers of staff for census changes during shifts.
Communicates with the oncoming Charge Nurse about census, staffing, admissions, discharges, and key patient information for assignments.
Supports unit management in productivity, staffing, timekeeping, and coordinating unit activities.
Participates in hospital committees as needed and promotes Intermountain Health values.
