Job summary

Intermountain Health in Montana is seeking an RN Shift Lead I for part-time day shifts. You will provide leadership and clinical expertise, coordinating unit resources to match census and acuity while supporting staff and modeling professional behavior.

The role requires a BSN within four years (or equivalent experience), Montana RN licensure and BLS. Regular attendance on site and potential on-call duties are included in duties and benefits are described by the hospital.

Qualifications

• BSN Degree* from an accredited program required within 4 years unless 15 years of acute care service.
• Current State of Montana Registered Nurse License
• BLS Certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and/or provide direct patient care and support staff on the shift.
• Respond to patient emergencies and act as charge/lead for disasters.
• Collaborate with staffing office to adjust numbers of staff for census changes.
• Communicate with the oncoming Charge Nurse about census, staffing, admissions, and discharges.
• Support unit management in productivity, staffing and timekeeping; coordinate unit activities.
• Participate in hospital committees as unit representative as needed.
• Promote Intermountain Health mission and values; uphold service standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• May float to other departments within scope of competency and may be on-call.
