Job summary

Intermountain Health in Butte, MT seeks a part-time RN Shift Lead I to provide leadership and clinical expertise on the day shift. You will coordinate unit resources to align staffing with census and acuity, supporting staff and serving as a role model of professionalism.

Requirements include a BSN within 4 years (or 15 years acute care), Montana RN license, and BLS certification on hire. You may supervise direct care and collaborate with the staffing office.

Qualifications

• BSN must be obtained within 4 years unless 15 years of acute care service.
• Current State of Montana Registered Nurse License is required.
• BLS Certification on hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and/or provides direct patient care on the shift.
• Assist and support staff in responding to patient/family complaints and safety concerns.
• Respond to patient emergencies and act as charge or lead for disasters.
• Collaborate with staffing office to adjust staff for census changes during shift.
• Communicate with oncoming Charge Nurse about census, admissions, discharges, and problems.
• Support unit management in productivity, staffing, and timekeeping.
• Participate in hospital committees as unit representative as needed.
• Promote Intermountain Health mission, vision, and values; uphold service standards.
• May float to other departments within competency and qualifications as needed.
• May be required to be placed on-call during regularly scheduled shifts.
