Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• BSN required (MSN preferred).
• RN licensure in Texas is required.
• Minimum of 3 years clinical nursing experience; hospital setting preferred.
• One year of formal teaching experience or nursing professional development preferred.
• ACLS/BLS instructor credentials or eligibility.
• ACLS instructor eligibility within 6 months of hire; 24 months to obtain instructor status.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, coordinate and evaluate clinical education activities.
• Develop curricula and educational programs for staff.
• Coordinate hospital policies and procedures related to nursing education.
• Provide leadership and oversight to pediatric education and staff development.
• Educate patient care staff on new equipment, supplies, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with standards, safety, and accreditation requirements.
• Collaborate with Nursing Educators and other departments to improve performance.
