Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, BSN preferred.
• Current registered nurse license in Texas.
• BLS certification is required at hire.
• ACLS and PALS must be completed within 3 months of hire.
• TNCC within 6 months of hire, ENPC recommended within 12 months.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients, families, and healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Provide planned, skilled nursing care for patients in the ED during the critical period.
• Maintain continuous patient surveillance for early recognition and rapid response to changes.
• Adhere to Nurse Practice Act and ANA Standards of Clinical Nursing Practice.
• Coordinate with physicians and hospital staff to ensure high-quality care.
• Demonstrate professional judgment, organization, and strong communication skills.
• Promote patient safety and infection control practices in the ED.
