Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• BSN required; MSN preferred.
• RN licensure in Texas is required.
• Minimum of 3 years clinical nursing experience; hospital experience preferred.
• One year of formal teaching experience or nursing professional development preferred.
• ACLS/BLS instructor credentials within specified timelines.
• Must develop instructor credentials within 24 months.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, coordinate and evaluate unit‑based staff education programs.
• Assess educational needs and develop curricula to improve clinical performance.
• Collaborate with Nursing Educators to implement hospital policies and procedures.
• Lead education initiatives while managing fiscal, material and human resources.
• Promote patient safety and continuous improvement in the care environment.
