Qualifications

• Current Texas RN license.
• BLS certification.
• CPI training within 30 days of hire.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Sensitivity to cultural and bilingual issues.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the facility mission, vision and values in care standards.
• Delivers care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards.
• Administers medications and therapies safely.
• Transcribes and implements physician orders.
• Assists with admitting, discharging and transferring patients.
• Maintains detailed nursing records and reports.
• Provides education and emotional support to patients and families.
• Performs rounds and prioritizes patient needs.
• Maintains a safe and clean environment; coordinates with staff.
• Reports issues to supervisor and adheres to policies.
