Qualifications

  • BA/BS plus 2 years in a related field or AA/AS plus 4 years of related experience or 8 years in shipbuilding/ship repair.
  • Knowledge of ship repair processes, contracting methods, and estimating procedures.
  • Experience with production planning, scheduling, quality control, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a crew of 8–30 mechanics and subcontractors; ensure safety, quality, schedule, and budget.
  • Plan manpower, review schedules, and assign daily work; monitor progress with foreman.
  • Ensure proper tooling, drawings, and procedures; resolve issues to meet targets.
  • Maintain adherence to collective bargaining agreements and company rules.
