Job summary

The ideal candidate brings leadership, deep ship repair knowledge, and strong collaboration skills, with readiness to adapt to a fast-paced naval environment. CAC/RapidGate eligibility and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Typically has a BA/BS in a related field with 2 years of related experience or AA/AS with 4 years of related experience, or 8 years in ship building/repair.
• In-depth knowledge in ship repair, including contracting and estimating procedures.
• Strong leadership, communication and team-building skills; capable with Microsoft products.

Responsibilities

• On-site deck-plate leader for the trade, directing a team of 8–30 mechanics and subcontractors.
• Plan and project manpower requirements to support Production/Program Management.
• Review Gantt charts and develop 1–2 week schedules with updates to the General Foreman.
