Job summary

Ryder is seeking an Operations Supervisor in Rancho Dominguez, CA, to support the Operations Manager with shift duties, labor planning and performance management. The role involves coordinating technicians, customer communication, and ensuring service quality while balancing safety, cost, and uptime targets.

You will work a 6:00 AM–2:30 PM shift, Monday–Friday, with salaried compensation and a path toward further leadership opportunities within Ryder.

Qualifications

• HS diploma/GED required.
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred for advancement.
• Maintenance/technical shop experience required.

Responsibilities

• Workflow management: planning, scheduling, and assigning work to technicians; track productivity.
• Labor management: training and development of personnel; performance management.
• Customer management: manage relationships, issue resolutions, and vehicle uptime focus.
• Asset management: maintain shop appearance and equipment; ensure tool needs.
• Quality management: inspections, root cause analysis, corrective actions and audits.
• Financial management: control costs and manage payroll, POs, and invoicing.
