Job summary

Ryder is seeking an Operations Supervisor in Phoenix, AZ. The role supports the Operations Manager for a shift, supervising technicians and service staff to meet labor, safety and quality targets. A developmental path to Ops Manager is available, with cross-functional training and a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction and performance metrics. The shop operates 6AM–3PM, Sun–Thu; salary is salaried with full benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate or Bachelor degree preferred; experience may substitute.
• Maintenance/technical experience in a shop environment required.
• Supervisory experience preferred; strong leadership required.
• Experience with a Shop Management System preferred.
• Microsoft Office intermediate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Workflow management: analyze, plan and schedule work; assign tasks to technicians; track productivity; lead shift meetings.
• Labor management: train and develop personnel; manage performance.
• Customer management: handle customer relationships, satisfaction and communications.
• Asset management: maintain shop appearance and equipment; manage inventory and tooling.
• Quality management: perform inspections, root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Financial management: control costs, payroll, PO approvals and billing processes.
