Job summary

Shaw Industries Group, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician C to support the day shift at the Port Wentworth, GA facility. You will perform hands-on maintenance and basic troubleshooting while assisting senior technicians and maintenance leaders on more complex work.

This role focuses on minimizing downtime, maintaining product quality, and building foundational skills in reliability and maintenance practices within a team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Foundational experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and maintenance practices.
• Familiar with safety practices: LOTO, confined space, hot work, PIT, fall protection, rigging.
• Ability to read basic mechanical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and math skills.
• Willingness to learn and grow in maintenance roles.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Maintain mechanical systems: bearings, belts, shafts, motors, gearboxes.
• Support hydraulic and pneumatic system maintenance for safe operation.
• Document issues, root causes, and corrective actions with teams.
• Collaborate with senior technicians and maintenance leads on repairs and improvements.
