Shaw Industries Group, Inc. in Port Wentworth is seeking an Automation Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift. The role focuses on executing tasks with safety, high precision, and customer-service mindset to support Great Products & Service.

The technician will mentor Electricians II-IV, develop maintenance plans, troubleshoot PLCs and automation, and contribute to process improvements across manufacturing operations in a dynamic flooring manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Safety practices and compliance (LOTO, confined space, PPE, hot work).
• Ability to read/interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Experience with PLCs, motors, and control systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Maintain manufacturing processes and support equipment to high performance levels including electrical systems (MCCs, inverters, motors).
• Lead advanced troubleshooting and repairs, guiding corrective steps and documenting changes.
• Develop proactive maintenance plans (PM, PdM) and ensure schematic updates.
• Execute work orders for projects and process improvement, including PLC programming for manufacturing equipment.
• Mentor Electricians II–IV, overseeing projects and assignments in manufacturing systems.
