Job summary

Shaw Industries in Georgia is seeking a Maintenance Tech Lead for the Day Shift to guide the maintenance team and support the Maintenance Supervisor in daily operations. Qualifications

• Previous experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, or a related technical field.
• Demonstrated mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting and repair experience.
• Experience maintaining and repairing industrial equipment and machinery.
• Prior training or technical education in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, mechanical systems, or a related discipline.
• Experience leading, mentoring, or directing the work of other maintenance employees is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily maintenance operations and coordinate employee work assignments.
• Provide direction, coaching, and technical guidance to maintenance technicians.
• Support employee development through training, mentoring, and performance support.
• Act as supervisor when needed and ensure operational continuity.
• Coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities to support production goals and equipment reliability.
• Oversee troubleshooting, repair, installation, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
• Monitor work quality and ensure tasks meet established standards.
• Participate in equipment improvement projects, process enhancements, and reliability initiatives.
• Schedule, organize, and assign maintenance work orders in partnership with maintenance leadership.
• Collaborate with operations, supervisors, and department leaders to prioritize maintenance needs.
• Monitor work order progress and verify timely and accurate completion of assigned tasks.
• Coordinate materials, parts, and resources required to complete maintenance activities.
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture throughout the maintenance department.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to all company safety policies.
• Support safety training and reinforce safe work practices.
• Identify and communicate safety, quality, and production concerns to leadership.
• Ensure work is performed in compliance with applicable regulations, procedures, and standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes, equipment performance, and operational efficiency.
• Foster collaboration between maintenance and operations teams to deliver high-quality service and support.
