Job summary

GFL - Sewer Technologies Division is seeking a skilled mechanic to inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel refuse trucks. Responsibilities include troubleshooting hydraulic and electrical systems, brakes, suspension, and PTO, ensuring fleet reliability and safety.

Daily maintenance will keep vehicles ready for operation. Starting pay ranges from $28 to $35 per hour with raises for experience and ASE certifications.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing diesel refuse trucks.
• Ability to diagnose and repair electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Willingness to perform preventive maintenance and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Starting Pay: $28 to $35 per hour. More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.
We pay for ASE testing! Once you get your certs is .25 bump per T Series ASE.
Shift: 6am-4pm M-F. Overtime after 40hrs worked.
