Job summary
GFL - Sewer Technologies Division is seeking a Mechanic to perform daily inspections and repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks. The role covers diagnosing, repairing hydraulic and electrical systems, brakes and PTO components to keep fleet vehicles safe and reliable.
The position offers a 3pm-1am Monday-Friday shift with a $2 shift differential and potential Saturday work. ASE testing is paid, with certification rewards and standard benefits after the introductory period.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
- Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
- Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.
Job description
Starting Pay: $28-$55/hr
More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.
Overtime after 40hrs worked.
We pay for ASE testing! Once you get your certs is .50 bump per T Series ASE.
