Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems is seeking a Datalink Engineer to manage integration and performance of datalink systems for Navy platforms. You will collaborate with OEMs to upgrade designs and ensure compatibility across missions onsite at Patuxent River, MD.

Candidates should have experience with datalink systems and systems integration, plus a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related science field; a master’s is preferred. Active Secret Clearance is required to support sensitive programs.

Datalink Engineer

Role Overview

As a Datalink Engineer, you will use your engineering skills to manage the integration and compatibility of datalink systems. You will work with original equipment manufacturers to improve performance and integrate advanced technologies into existing platforms. This role involves transforming mission systems requirements to improve datalink performance on a variety of platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with existing teams to understand current challenges and develop upgrades.
• Collaborate with engineers to modify designs and algorithms to better system performance.
• Assist in augmenting designs and improving system integrations to enhance capabilities.
• Manage the integration and compatibility of datalink systems.
• Analyze datalink designs and provide technical inputs to improve performance and integration.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in datalink systems.
• Knowledge of systems integration challenges.
• Ability to work with a team of engineers to modify designs and improve system integrations.
• A bachelor's degree in an engineering or scientific field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with modern Navy datalink systems.
• Experience with the SETR process.
• Experience with Datalink compliance testing, including NCTSI.
• Knowledge of contracting mechanisms and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) reporting.
• A master's degree in a scientific field.
