Required: TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain CI Poly; 10+ years in database development, software engineering, and design; 5 years with Enterprise DB and 7 years with PostgreSQL; Bachelor's degree

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain CI Poly.
• Bachelor's degree required (Master's may substitute for 2 years).
• 10 years of overall experience in the functional area.
• 10 years combined experience in Database development and software engineering/development; Database Design and Data Modeling; Requirements analysis/generation; Developing systems and software architectures.
• 5 years' experience with Enterprise DB.
• 7 years' experience with PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical support for process improvement, specialized studies, and requirement definition.
• Duties include analysis, planning, and developing requirements documents, functional models, and architectures.
• Develop procedures and multi-tiered database solutions and automation scripts.
• Travel to client sites 10–20% of the time.

Job description

The Database Engineer provides subject matter proficiency for our USAF mission. This role is responsible for providing analytical skills to support process improvement, specialized studies, and definition of requirements. Typical duties include analysis, planning, developing requirements documents, building functional models, developing procedures, developing functional architectures, and other related management and technical duties.

This position is remote a requires an active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI Poly.

Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI Poly.
• At least 10 years of overall experience in the functional area. Bachelor's degree required (Master's may substitute for 2 years).
• 10 years of combined experience in: (a) Database development and software engineering/development; (b) Database Design and Data Modeling; (c) Requirements analysis/generation; (d) Developing systems and software architectures.
• Must have 5 years' experience working with Enterprise DB.
• 7 years of experience with PostgreSQL.
• Required Certification: DCWF Job Code: 421 Advanced
• Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining automated installation scripts.
• Demonstrated experience developing database solutions in a multi-tiered environment.
• Role may require travel to a site 10-20% of the time.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Oracle DBA Certified Professional, CISSP
