Job summary

Maximus seeks a Database Engineer to support a USAF mission with analytical and design work across database development, data modeling, and requirements analysis. The role emphasizes multi-tier architectures, automated scripts, and enterprise DB expertise on a remote, cleared environment.

The ideal candidate holds TS/SCI clearance (CI Poly upon appointment), at least 10 years in relevant fields, and strong PostgreSQL and Oracle background. Travel up to 10–20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI Poly.
• 10 years of overall experience in the functional area; Bachelor's degree required (Master's may substitute for 2 years).
• 10 years of combined experience in: (a) Database development and software engineering/development; (b) Database Design and Data Modeling; (c) Requirements analysis/generation; (d) Developing systems and software architectures.
• Must have 5 years' experience working with Enterprise DB.
• 7 years of experience with PostgreSQL.
• Required Certification: DCWF Job Code: 421 Advanced.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining automated installation scripts.
• Demonstrated experience developing database solutions in a multi-tiered environment.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Database Engineer provides subject matter proficiency for our USAF mission. This role is responsible for providing analytical skills to support process improvement, specialized studies, and definition of requirements. Typical duties include analysis, planning, developing requirements documents, building functional models, developing procedures, developing functional architectures, and other related management and technical duties.

This position is remote a requires an active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI Poly.
