Job summary

Skywalk Global is seeking a Technical Records Specialist 2 to support the Newborn Screening & Children’s Special Health Program in Boise, Idaho. This role focuses on data collection, management, and reporting using specialized software, while delivering timely customer service to families and providers.

The successful candidate will troubleshoot issues, ensure compliance with applicable policies, and contribute to quality improvement projects.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer services skills and experience.
• Experience analyzing information and researching a variety of sources to identify and resolve problems or issues.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience entering and retrieving data using a computerized record system.
• Experience composing and proofreading business correspondence.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook.
• Monitoring record systems to identify and correct errors.
• Interpreting, explaining, and applying laws, regulations, and complex policies for multiple or highly specialized programs.
• Experience interacting with individuals from varying cultural and socio-economic backgrounds in stressful situations.
• Must be able to work autonomously and within teams while gaining extensive knowledge of program procedures and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain specialized software used for program data collection, evaluation, and reporting
• Provide customer service and technical assistance to external customers
• Determine and explain compliance with laws, rules, regulations, policies, and take appropriate action
• Extract data for analysis, data visualization, or reports
• Conduct data quality and improvement assessments and implement changes
• Troubleshoot software or process problems and develop solutions
• Assists with other tasks, projects, and priorities as assigned
