Job summary

Hope the Mission in Chatsworth, California, seeks a Data Coordinator to ensure data quality and contract compliance across its programs. Under the Data Manager, you will review client files, HMIS records, and generate reports for leadership and funders.

The role requires strong HMIS knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to translate data findings into actionable guidance for program teams. Bachelor’s degree preferred; experience with HMIS/CHAMP and Microsoft Office is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in psychology, social work, public administration, human services, statistics, or related field.
• 1 year of experience in program evaluation, reporting, or data management preferred.
• Working knowledge of confidentiality standards under CMIA, HIPAA, and ADA requirements.
• Experience with HMIS, CHAMP or relevant database system.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ongoing audits of electronic and physical client files to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with contract requirements.
• Reconciles physical file documentation with HMIS records across all program files.
• Maintains an internal database tracker of audited files.
• Develops and updates monitoring checklists reflecting current contract requirements.
• Designs and generates regular reports for varied audiences (staff, board, funders).
• Tracks outcomes and monitors progress against program goals.
