Job summary

enGen is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to implement and maintain the organization’s data protection infrastructure across on‑prem and cloud environments. The role emphasizes DLP, DSPM, and data de‑identification solutions, with strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python) and cloud experience (GCP, AWS, Azure).

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in data protection, information security, and infrastructure deployment, plus hands‑on experience with Windows/Linux and container orchestration

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with Data Loss Prevention
• 5 years of experience with Information Security and Systems Analysis
• 5 years of experience with deploying and maintaining infrastructure for DLP software
• 5 years of experience with creating and managing DLP policies

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain components of the organization’s data protection infrastructure across platforms and vendors, deploying DLP, DSPM, and data de-identification solutions.
• Collaborate on design and implementation of data protection solutions across on‑premises and cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Configure and maintain data protection policies including sensitive information types and exception lists.
• Troubleshoot data protection incidents and perform root cause analysis for remediation.
• Contribute to projects with testing, implementation, and documentation; participate in progress meetings.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Python) to improve deployment and maintenance workflows.
• Collaborate with team members to expand knowledge of data protection technologies.
• Stay current with data protection tech and compliance requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
