Job summary

enGen is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to lead the implementation, maintenance, and operational support of our data protection infrastructure across on‑prem and cloud environments. You will implement DLP, DSPM, and de-identification solutions while collaborating with senior engineers to design, deploy, and tune policies in Windows, Linux, and GKE environments.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years of Data Loss Prevention experience.
• 5+ years in Information Security and systems analysis.
• 5+ years deploying and maintaining DLP infrastructure.
• 5+ years creating and managing DLP policies.
• 3+ years in at least two programming languages (Python/Java/JavaScript/Bash/PowerShell).
• 3+ years designing and providing architectural support for two major cloud providers.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain data protection infrastructure across platforms/vendors (DLP, DSPM, de-identification).
• Design and implement data protection solutions aligned with business requirements in on‑prem and cloud (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Configure data protection policies, sensitive information types, and tuning parameters.
• Troubleshoot data protection incidents and perform root cause analyses.
• Assist with testing, deployment, and documentation in projects; participate in meetings for updates.
• Develop automation scripts (PowerShell, Python) to improve deployment and maintenance.
• Collaborate to expand knowledge of data protection technologies.
• Stay updated with data protection tech, industry best practices, and compliance requirements.
