Job summary

enGen is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to implement and maintain data protection infrastructure, including DLP and DSPM, across on‑prem and cloud environments. You will work with senior engineers and participate in projects, troubleshooting incidents and codifying policies and procedures.

The role requires hands-on experience with PowerShell or Python scripting, and familiarity with HIPAA, NIST, ISO frameworks, plus platforms like Windows, Linux, GKE and major cloud providers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field.
• 5 years of experience with Data Loss Prevention.
• 5 years of Information Security and Systems Analysis.
• 5 years deploying and maintaining DLP infrastructure and policies.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain DLP, DSPM, and de-identification solutions.
• Design and implement data protection across on‑prem and cloud (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Configure sensitive info types, tune detection, manage exceptions.
• Troubleshoot incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and remediation.
• Develop automation scripts (PowerShell, Python) for deployment and maintenance.
• Collaborate with team to expand knowledge and stay current with standards.
